Pallo — Chikankari Tussar Silk Saree
Two cities. Two centuries of craft. One saree.
Tussar silk comes from the forests of Jharkhand and Bihar — spun from wild silkworms that feed on arjun and sal trees rather than mulberry. It has a texture that cultivated silk doesn't — slightly raw, naturally golden, with a warmth that catches light differently at every hour of the day.
Onto this, the needle workers of Lucknow have placed their Chikankari. Hand embroidered in pure silk thread using techniques that trace back to the Mughal court — the shadow work of Bakhiya, the delicate knots of Phanda — each stitch placed by hand, no two sarees ever exactly alike.
Pallo is not trying to dazzle. It is trying to endure. The kind of saree that looks more beautiful the longer you look at it, and better every time you wear it.
