Green and gold. The colours of every forest at noon, when light finds its way through the canopy and lands, briefly, on the ground below.

Chand is woven in pure Chanderi silk — that impossibly light fabric from Madhya Pradesh that has been called woven air for centuries. The forest green body is scattered with small yellow butis, placed by the weaver across the full length of the saree like light scattered through leaves. Not uniform. Not mechanical. Each buti finding its own place, the way light always does.

This is a saree for the woman who feels most herself outdoors, at dawn, in a garden — and brings that quality with her wherever she goes.

Chanderi

Chanderi craft refers to the traditional handloom weaving practiced in the town of Chanderi, located in Madhya Pradesh, India. This craft is renowned for its lightweight and sheer fabric, often made from cotton, silk, or a blend of both. Chanderi saris and fabrics are characterised by their fine texture, glossy transparency, and intricate traditional motifs like peacocks, coins, and geometric patterns. The craft has a rich history dating back to the 13th century and continues to be valued for its elegance and quality in contemporary fashion and textile industries.
